Senior Product Engineer / Manager

This well-established designer/ manufacturer of luxury lighting is seeking a Senior product engineer to manage the team and NPD development and engineering of new lighting fixtures collections, based on pre-determined concepts for production ensuring cost, quality and parameters are met.

You will be involved in project management and manage team’s activities and allocate tasks, ensuring the critical path (key dates) and processes are followed, oversee pre-production, product testing, and work with external laboratories as and when required, ensure all new and existing designs conform/comply to UKCA, CE, cULus, and any other international lighting and wiring standards, liaise with the supply chain department and production team to optimise the manufacturing, assembly, and shipping methods of the products, implement and manage CAD and key document file library that is used across departments, for correct manufacturing, assembly, and testing of the products.

The ideal candidate should have a clear understanding of international lighting standards, lighting control systems, LEDs, drivers, and other electronic hardware used in lighting. You should have a degree in Product Design or Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of experience in team management within the product development and engineering of decorative lighting within the luxury sector, a passion for product engineering with meticulous attention to detail and keen on pragmatic problem-solving, expert in CAD (SolidWorks), Adobe (Photoshop/ InDesign/ Illustrator), MS Office.
