Project Manager – electrical/ lighting large scale projects
£35,000 - £45,000 basic + car allowance + site visits
Key role working for this well known electrical/ lighting manufacturer. You will be managing complex projects from order stage to hand over, as well as having the sole responsibility in ensuring that the project produces the required customer specification, to the required quality and with the specified constraints of time and cost.
Responsibilities include: qualify and manage project opportunities including reporting and tracking of near term and far term; provide project support pre-order in order to identify and manage potential risks, liaise with all relevant parties including third party suppliers to ensure all risks are effectively managed, schedule full programme requirements including design and quotation updates, site milestones and completion dates, ensure full information requirements and timescales are communicated to customers to ensure orders are placed in a timely fashion to achieve project milestones, liaise with project order management to ensure orders are processed and managed efficiently to ensure availability of product in line with customer requirements; ensure all information is in place and fully communicated to facilitate ‘right first time’ services and delivery; provide site follow-up to ensure all issues are complete and the project is handed over successfully.
In order to professionally manage complex projects to minimise risks and maximise the company’s return the ideal candidate should ideallybe qualified PRINCE2 to Practitioner level; previous experience in a contracting role (estimating, QS or project/contracts manager) within the Construction Industry or 3 years’ experience in lighting; strong knowledge of SAP System; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to analyse and solve problems; ability to perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks.
