Our client, widely regarded as one of the pioneers in the industrial power supplies industry, is seeking a proactive business development manager to focus on selling AC-DC power supplies and DC-DC converters into the OEM sector throughout the Midlands region.
This represents a dual role of managing the existing business whilst proactively seeking out new sectors - selling in at technical manager, design manager level within a diverse range of OEMs from electronics, lighting, rail to white goods, defence, marine and medical. You will be selling a quality range of standard, custom and bespoke solutions into this sector requiring good basic technical understanding and awareness of the applications coupled with the ability to seek out and develop new business as well.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced technical sales professional, able to effectively manage a large area, utilise the database and CRM system to its full potential and understand the value of high margin sales. You should have a background in technical product sales, a proven sales achiever capable of managing accounts and developing new revenue streams with good negotiation, listening, communication and presentation skills.
