Operations Manager – Electrical Manufacturer

£45,000 - £60,000 basic + bonus, healthcare, pension

Exciting opportunity for an experienced procedures/ processes based Operations Manager to join this Manufacturer.

Your responsibility will be to streamline current procedures across all departments to aid the Company’s growth by upgrading procedures from quoting all the way through to dispatching of goods. This new position will be a pivotal role helping the Company move to the next level. As a key figure of the management team you will be making decisions that will maintain and enhance the performance of the business. Other duties include overseeing and managing the IT, despatch and packing departments; managing software development projects; Implementing procedures, creating guides, training staff and enforcing processes where required; liaising with all departments to determine best practise and develop procedures to increase efficiency throughout the Company and ensuring operational procedures are kept up to date, improved and followed.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience as an Operations Manager with a manufacturer (technical, components, industrial, electrical). You should have the experience and drive to take ownership of all

process development while maintaining strong relationships between all department and driving efficiency. You will need to have exceptional managerial skills, including communication and leadership qualities, time management, along with a proven background in managing teams. Being able to demonstrate your knowledge of continuous improvement and change management is essential. Experienced in implementing business processes that deliver significant service level improvements and operational efficiencies to key stakeholders, you will thrive in a target-driven environment and be proficient in MS Office and familiar with ERP/ CRM systems as well as manufacturing sw (eg Sage 200). Qualified or working towards Prince2 and experience of either Six Sigma, Kaizen and Lean management would be advantageous
