Senior Lighting Designer/ Project Manager – Residential Solutions

£35,000 - £40,000 basic + PRB + work/life balance

Our client, a well established Independent Lighting Design Consultancy, has ambitious future growth plans and is initially seeking an experienced scheme designer to take on more client facing and project management duties.

Your responsibilities will be varied and challenging from: working in the office designing concepts through to detailed design, project management duties, follow up calls and emails to site visits dealing with electricians, installers and contractors for installation and rectification issues and; liaising with clients direct in their homes discussing their ideas and dreams, building up trust and empathy and translating their visions with your input into innovative designs. You will be specifying the most appropriate lighting products for each project and when appropriate are able to offer an in-house bespoke product design service for specials.

Office based on Buckinghamshire your location can be flexible as it is 45 mins from London by tube, 35 mins drive from West London, accessible from Oxford, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes and Bicester. You will be regularly on site with clients in London, Wiltshire, Bucks, Berks, Surrey and Hertfordshire

The ideal candidate could be a frustrated senior designer wanting more autonomy, responsibility and challenge as this represents a genuine career opportunity to develop your design, creative and commercial skills. You should have 5 years + lighting design experience ( AutoCAD, InDesign, Dialux) with the emphasis on residential applications , cradle to grave project management experience, creative and technical strengths and a strong, confident and enthusiastic personality to deal with high end clients, contractors, electricians and internal staff and management. You should have a full driving licence as up to 50% of your time will be away from the office.
