Supply Chain Manager/ Production Manager – Luxury interior markets

£40,000 - £50,000 basic

Our client, a well established contemporary lighting manufacturer is seeking a hands on, dynamic and proactive supply chain manager.

Great time to join this expanding SME with commitment to grow and a strategic plan in place to further develop and broaden the product portfolio. As the SCM you will be leading the team working between the Design and Sales departments liaising with the suppliers and factory to ensure an excellent service.

Responsibilities include: manage the team; manage the supply chain ensuring stock levels are maintained; ensure suppliers orders are produced to cost, design, and quality controls and delivered on time; co-ordinate with our factory to ensure orders are assembled efficiently, to schedule and required standards; work with sales team on scheduling of production of stock and bespoke projects to ensure timely deliveries; work with design team on new and existing products to ensure cost, quality and production controls are in place; National travel will be required minimum 2 days on weekly basis to the factory and suppliers.

The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years experience in a similar role, preferably with a background in luxury manufacturing with a pragmatic, can do attitude who quickly finds solutions. You should have an understanding of materials, production and assembly processes with excellent time management and communication skills. You should have great attention to detail and a passion for creative industries. As a proactive SCM you could be dealing with suppliers of lighting components in the Midlands, suppliers of glass in France and suppliers of marble in Italy and as such you should be approachable and always be seeking out the best raw and finished materials for the business. You should have advanced experience in Sage 50 or an equivalent business management and stock control system and a full, clean driving licence as this role will involve weekly travel to suppliers.
