Technical Compliance Engineer – Manufacturing
£25,000 - £30,000 basic + benefits
Our client, a leading lighting manufacturer is seeking an experience compliance engineer to work within its manufacturing operations in Surrey.
You will be involved in ensuring compliance of all products to relevant quality standards, generally comprising of: compliance with National, EU, International standards, and CE compliance with EU Directives ; work with in-house and external laboratories in arranging product testing and assessing test results and reports; compliance with customer specific standards and maintenance of records & certification. You will also assist in compilation and maintenance of Technical Construction files and product compliance data. Other tasks may include helping with designing geartrays or making installation instruction sheets, so experience using CAD would be ideal.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience working in a laboratory with a methodical approach and be able to think strategically. You should have 2 years + experience in a similar role, preferably experience in a laboratory / in quality control or laboratory product testing. You should be comfortable to switch between an office-based role to a factory-based role, which will require movement around the factory, light physical activities, inspecting fittings. You should have further/ higher education in either Production, Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
